For my last class tonight they had a review day since they have their final test the next time they meet. I made them answer 20 questions and they all did really well so I let them pick cards out of a McDonald's bag. The students collect cards to exchange for prizes. They usually get 10 pts or so since the cards are in quantities of 1,10,50,100, and 500. There were only 100pt cards in the bag but they didn't know that. They thought the bag had a variety of cards. I had the students pick them out and it was funny since they would search and try really hard to pick a card. They would get 100 each time and would get really excited. One student was upset since he thought that by the time he picked the cards in the bag, all of the students would have gotten the good cards. Then at the end one of the students catched on and they were all freaking out when I showed them that the bag had 100pt cards. It was pretty funny to trick them and see their reaction lol
Today was payday and I wanted to splurge a bit by ordering food outside. Usually I eat instant noodles or something. I got jipai which is basically a slab of fried chicken, sounds gross but it's really good. I ordered it and I also bought a dessert. I ate it when I got home and Cala had her coworkers come over. About a hour passed and I really did not feel good. Yep, something was wrong with the chicken because I got food poisoning since I threw up :( I don't want to jinx myself but that's the first time I had to throw up here in Taipei because of rotten food. I got sick from eating the hot pepper soup the first week I was in town but I didn't throw up. I just hope it was just a minor case since my stomach is still hurting a little. I have to be careful when I order food since I bought the jipai close to 10pm and it might have been spoiled by then :/
