This afternoon my coworker gave me a gift since she saw me yesterday looking awful from the effects of food poisoning. She gave me a magazine and on the cover was Jay Chou!! It was a huge magazine and it has lots of pictures of him :) My coworker Cat and I discovered a couple of weeks ago that we both like Jay Chou a lot. It's surprising because a lot of the CTs (Chinese Teacher-Taiwanese teachers) don't like Jay Chou. I've recently started to like him since I knew about him back in the States but never really listened to his music until then. It was really nice of her to do and it's my first gift I received in Taipei. She said it was no biggie and she bought one for herself but still, she didn't have to get me anything.
I now started to meet with my coworker one hour a week to practice my Chinese and since the magazine has a big article about Jay Chou (in Chinese of course) I should read it to give me more practice lol
