I originally created this blog to make sure I don't lose my English but after about two months of living in Taipei, I realized that I need to improve my Chinese...oh and of course improving my English won't hurt either :)

1st real KTV experience
Today was one of my coworkers last day of work since she is moving to Canada. She is having a farewell KTV party tonight. KTV means karaoke, I hope there will be some American songs but of course I will try to sing some Chinese songs as well. I'm excited to go since it will be my first KTV experience but it's bitter sweet since I'm saying farewell to a great coworker and friend. We taught a class together since she is a CT (Chinese Teacher) and I teach our class on Wed. while she teaches on Sat. mornings. This morning I bought them all cookies to say goodbye to her. My students were pretty happy but of course it's because they got cookies.
Picture above is my coworkers singing karoke. It was really fun and I'm proud to say that I sang my first Chinese song in traditional characters from Jay Chou "Excuse", 周杰倫 , "藉口". We then ate kangji which is rice porridge and you eat it with meats and vegetables that you can order. (picture above) Yummy!
