Hard to say goodbye!

Today was my last day with my A-6 class since there are only 7 of them and they are so small that they are merging in with another class when they start their new level of A-7. They already finished their written and oral exams and I gave them extra handouts to keep them busy. There oral exams actually didn't take a long time since there were only 7 students. They had a chance to look over their essays and I felt bad for them since I kept giving them all these handouts when they finished everything for the class so the last 10 mins I allowed them to rest and do whatever they wanted.

This class wasn't the greatest because most of them were not motivated and were extremely lazy. They don't act like an advanced class at all and even though they know how to follow the sentence patterns, they won't branch out and actually write or speak except one or two students. I was sad saying goodbye though because it was my first class that I will be done with. I will be done with two more of my summer classes this week. It's not a huge deal and I know I will be switching and changing classes all the time but if the students are willing to do the work and you have a good relationship with them, it's hard to let them go haha For my summer writing class I bought all the students little notepads. As for my intensive English beginner class, I bought them bookmarks. I know I'm a nerd for getting them gifts but they deserved it since they had to take summer classes although I'm sure they had no other option but to take the class.
