I originally created this blog to make sure I don't lose my English but after about two months of living in Taipei, I realized that I need to improve my Chinese...oh and of course improving my English won't hurt either :)

Random Compliment
I was walking to work today when a guy with two girls asked me where I got my purse that I was wearing. I told him I got it from America and the girl who was with him asked me if I knew a store around here that were selling that style type of bag. I told them I didn't know and I was trying to explain how the bag was made in Africa but I forgot how to say Africa in Chinese. It didn't matter anyways because they didn't understand me lol The girl was really sad because she has been looking everywhere for a bag like mine.
I bought my bag (me wearing the bag in front of the national palace museum) this past year from my friend Michelle who study abroad in Gambia, Africa. She had a guy make purses, wallets, and other items to sell for charity donations to stop the female mutilations that are occuring in Gambia. I love this bag and I wear it all the time also because it just hangs right off my shoulders and I don't have to carry it with my arms. And of course it reminds me of my friend Michelle :)
