Hot Pot and Wondergirls

My coworker and I went to this small food stand for lunch because our Chinese co-teachers got their lunch there and we wanted to venture out and try other places to eat. We ordered pork noodle soup which only cost $35 NT, roughly $1 USD but there's a reason...it wasn't filling or good at all!

My roommates and I planned to eat hot pot tonight. I made the reservation at 5:30 after I got off work and we didn't get to eat until after 9pm. It's so busy because it's a Sat. night and we waited for over 1 hour. It's all you can eat with fruit and cake and they had haagen das (not sure of the spelling) ice cream too :) It was four of us and I ate a lot!! We were all starving since most of us didn't really eat too much today and we didn't get to eat until 9pm. It was really good though and the ice cream was great. I also had "wax apples" (first picture above) :D

We got home around 11:30pm and now it's 1:00am and I'm writing this blog. I am going to sleep!! I ate hot pot a lot when I'm at home in America and I had it when my sister was here in Xin Zhu but I am never sick of it. My stomach is happy but now I just want to sleep. I think also teaching a full day today has something to do with it.

Ooo and the other day when I was waiting for the subway to go to work, I heard someone's cell phone go off and it was the Wondergirls "Nobody" song!! I knew that it was popular a couple of years ago but I haven't heard it being played here in Taipei until then. But weirdly enough, one of my students said sorry and the other student started to sing the "Sorry" song again from Wondergirls. So random!!
